1. Diabetes. A lifetime of poor eating habits strains the body's natural ability to regulate blood sugar with insulin. Over time, these poor eating habits—or choices—set the stage for adult-onset diabetes, as wellas 
  2.    the accompanying strain on the heart, circulatory system, eyesight and more.
  3. Alzheimer's Disease. While researchers continue to seek answers as to why this unfortunate syndrome strikes so many people, they do emphasize that the brains of people who suffer from Alzheimer's share some commonalities—dense deposits that surround the nerve cells of the brain and twisted bands of fibers inside the nerve cells. It is believed that this may occur in the brain 10 to 20 years before any indication of trouble. 
  4. Arthritis. There are different types of arthritis, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and others; but the main symptom they have in common is inflammation. Years of bodily wear and tear can lead to inflammation, pain, and stiffness. Osteoporosis is a part of this painful family of conditions, usually associated with years of calcium depletion and hormonal changes, setting the stage for brittle bones and justified fears of falling.
  5. Heart disease. Astoundingly connected to lifestyle choices, there are different names for similar pains, i.e. heart disease, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol...the nasty list continues on. Years of stress and strain, a cholesterol-rich diet, lack of exercise, etc. can set a tragic stage as we go about the business of aging.
  6. Eye Diseases. Glaucoma, cataracts, Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD)...the progression of all these types of eye diseases depend upon a person’s nutrient intake. The health of our eyes and their natural ability to age, is linked to good nutrition. Many of the first signs of illness and disease can be seen in the health of the eyes.
